Amy Adams is a paralegal at Northwest Family Law. Amy earned a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Digital Communication from California State University, Northridge, while she worked full-time stage-managing theatrical productions, designing lights for live theatrical performances, and working at Universal Studios. Amy then applied her experiences working in the entertainment industry, while being a student, to a career in higher education administration at Art Center College of Design, and Bellevue College. Amy then turned her attention to the legal field, where she has spent nearly 13 years in family law, applying the skills of advising, financial analysis, bookkeeping, communication and leadership to support clients, colleagues, and attorneys.
Her personal experiences with adoption, divorce, supporting friends through messy modification proceedings, and the unexpected passing of family, form the foundation of her passion and understanding of the law and its intersection with families. Her compassionate communication style and breadth of professional experience have been an asset to Amy in her legal work. She has developed a unique set of skills as she has supported a variety of attorneys with hundreds of cases, forged relationships with court staff, other attorneys, their staff members, and with 100’s of clients. Amy has provided paralegal support for simple annulments, parenting time and spousal support modifications, contentious custody matters, and complex high-asset divorces.
Outside of work, Amy finds great creativity in creating culinary delights that nourish the body, while still being delicious to eat. She enjoys gaming with her husband or solving a good match-three puzzle. Amy enjoys being outside on sunny days when she can appreciate the mountains and rivers. She loves to go on road trips with her Husband around the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, as well as planning and taking longer trips around the world, and snuggling her cats at home.
