Biography

Ashley earned her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law after completing her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs at Florida State University. Originally from Florida, she later made the Pacific Northwest her home, beginning a legal career dedicated exclusively to family law.

As an Associate Attorney at Northwest Family Law, Ashley focuses on divorce, child custody, and other complex family law matters. Known for her meticulous preparation, strategic thinking, and client-first approach, Ashley is a dedicated advocate who works closely with individuals and families during some of the most difficult transitions of their lives. She approaches each case with the understanding that family law is never one-size-fits-all, tailoring her strategy to fit each client’s specific needs and goals.

Ashley’s passion for family law is rooted in her own experience as a child of divorce, giving her a personal understanding of the emotional complexities and long-term impact of family transitions. This perspective fuels her commitment to helping clients navigate new family dynamics with clarity, empathy, and confidence. Whether a case is straightforward or highly complex, Ashley is known for her ability to break down difficult legal processes, anticipate challenges, and advocate fiercely on behalf of her clients.

Outside the office, Ashley enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, curating her ever-growing record collection, and traveling whenever she gets the chance. She values quality time at home with her partner, Chad, their golden doodle, Molly, and their two cats, Pete and Mitch. Ashley’s genuine compassion, combined with her analytical mindset and personal connection to the work, make her a trusted and effective guide for clients.

A Clean Break That Protected What Mattered Most

The Challenge

A client sought to dissolve a marriage involving complex property division — a home, pets, vehicles, bank and retirement accounts, and shared debt. The relationship with the opposing party was amicable, but the client wanted their property protected and a secure footing for life after the divorce.

How We Helped

Ashley Jacquin met with the client for a detailed overview of the estate. We treat divorce as a next chapter, not an ending — and property division as the foundation for long-term recovery. Together they mapped which assets mattered most, financially and emotionally.

The Outcome

The final division included a cash payment equalizing the community property the client retained — preserving the retirement accounts that secured their financial future and the pets that carried them through a difficult period.
