Laura Edstrom is a passionate and driven legal professional and serves as Northwest Family Law’s Rule 9 intern. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Government at Regent University and is currently pursuing her J.D. at Seattle University School of Law, where she had the privilege of serving on the Student Bar Association for two years. Her background is in consumer financial protection law, which gave her the opportunity to help people harassed by debt collectors, who were affected by false credit reporting, and were victims of identity theft.
As an adoptee with three adopted siblings, Laura knows the importance of family law and understands the impact it has on the lives of so many people. Her experience led her to pursue family law, where she can directly serve people who need help navigating these complex systems in pursuit of hope for a brighter future. She prioritizes empathy, support, and going the extra mile to ensure that clients are taken care of.
Laura grew up in the Pacific Northwest and adores the beauty this area has to offer. She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Christian, and their Pug/Terrier mix, Maisie.
